What I want to be as a designer
I used to: Be a computer based designer, using almost exclusivly photoshop to create everything. My ideas were often simply a response to something i had seen and liked.
I am now: Enthusiastic and determined to use workshops o t create a new style of work and break out of my old habits.
I want to be: An all rounded designer, not just using CAD and print methods, but also including my previous training with painting, drawing and conceptual thinking.
I also want my knowledge of current graphic design to improve, i feel as though even though i look at more existing work than i usually do i am still detached from what is going on in the design world.
I also do not want to loose touch with my own personal design practice outside of the course. I think finding inspiration outside of this course is very useful and also necessary to continue having an interest in the world of design.
